The board

Projects

Everything here started as somebody's idea. The status is the honest one — an idea that has not moved says so.

How an idea becomes something that runs

Every project on this board sits at one of these stages, and the stage shown is the true one. Nothing skips ahead to look busier than it is.

  1. Stage 1

    Idea

Somebody raised it. No commitment yet — this is where most things start.

  2. Stage 2

    Planning

Being worked into something small enough to actually run.

  3. Stage 3

    Pilot

Running for real, at small scale, to find out whether it works.

  4. Stage 4

    Running

It works, and it keeps going — increasingly without us.

Two more exist for honesty rather than progress: Paused and Complete.

Community kitchen

A shared kitchen night where people cook together and take meals home — raised as a way for older members and new arrivals to meet without it being an event you have to be invited to.

Roles you can take on

Each of these belongs to a project, so you can read why it exists before deciding. Most are smaller than they sound.

Not tied to one project

Work that supports whoever needs it, rather than one piece of work.

Nothing here is the thing you care about?

Then bring us yours. Most of the projects on this board arrived as a remark at a gathering, not as a proposal.
